Employment growth continues to be strong and steady in the Westbrook area, largely because of the extensive network of business resources and the strong support the business community receives from local, regional and state government. Economic DevelopmentWestbrook's Economic Development Program is designed to develop partnerships in the community and within the City's organization to strengthen and enhance Westbrook's business environment and economic well-being. The program is structured to provide assistance to a wide range of businesses in different industries. A special part of the program is geared towards people interested in starting their own business. The program also manages the City's federally funded programs benefiting low and moderate income persons - the DECH and HOUSES programs. Schools & Colleges
