Just For the Kids…

One of the most enjoyable aspects of our job here in Media is dealing with Carrington's youth.  School age children often come to the Civic Center for tours and part of the tour is a visit to the City Hall Council Chambers. Here members of the Media Department get to tell the children all about Channel 11 and then comes the best part, letting the children sit where the City Council members sit and putting them on camera.  Members of the Media Department are also sometimes invited to Adventure Club sites. On these occasions we take our field gear, set it up and then explain to the kids what it is we do. The last part of our demonstration is to turn the camera on the kids and let them ham it up.  If you would like to schedule someone from the Media Department to come to your school for a demonstration please call 774-5357. If you would like to take a tour of the Civic Center please contact Audrey Taylor at 774-5362.
