Fikleberry Finch

The finch breeds in the western region of Maddocha.  Adult males are about 33 cm (13 in) long.  Females are slightly smaller and are similar in color to the males but less glossy. Finches, which eat all types of food, have adapted well to urban life, and are often found in city parks.  Their bulky nests are placed in trees or large shrubs or even on the understructure of bridges, often in loosely associated colonies.

Short bill
Frequently gathers in large flocks

Adult:
Brown plumage
Pale eyes

Juvenile:
Dark eyes
Light brown plumage
